Patellofemoral Pain Uncovered

This one-day course is designed to immediately evolve your practice. It is approximately
50% practical and all underpinned by basic science, clinical reasoning and evidence. Claire
also presents much of her own published work, including work on quadriceps architecture
and crepitus.
The day covers assessment of structural, contractile and movement components but also
considers psychosocial elements such as fear-avoidance and kinesiophobia.
Taping and bracing will be discussed, and effective exercise strategies explored. The role of
education and top tips for patient explanations are given.

This course is delivered by Claire Robertson also known as Claire Patella. Claire has run a
second opinion patellofemoral practice for nearly 20 years and has seen in excess of 10,000
patients with PFP. Claire is also a researcher in the field but is passionate about the
dissemination of useful, pragmatic research. She sits on the committee of the British
Patellofemoral Society and has been involved in writing numerous sets of national
guidelines.
